  This store is very clean and the staff is very helpful. But the store is very over priced. I just moved to Douglas City and thought I would do my main shopping at tops. when I started to shop I almost fell over at the prices. TirTip for example anywhere in Redding you will find it $6.99 or less tops price $10.99 a pound. This is Representative of most of there food. I'll spend the time and extra gas and go to Redding.

  Tops effectively has a monopoly on groceries in Weaverville, which combined with their being a small chain without the large-order purchasing power of major retail chains results in prices that are out of step with average income of Trinity County's population. So Tops has positioned itself as a luxury-tier grocer like Whole Foods when what's needed in this post of the state is a Grocery Outlet. (If Whole Foods was more comfortable with selling goods that were near or past their sell-by date, anyway.)
  
  The only thing that makes a visit to Tops worthwhile is their butcher - the prices and cuts of meat are competitive with what you'd find if you drive over the hill into Redding.

  A garbage can that poor citizens of weaverville are forced to shop in due to lack of close alternative. My advice, RUN AWAY AND TAKE THE TIME TO SHOP IN REDDING. BOYCOT THESE PUKES! They claim they love America but yet knowingly RAPE they're townsfolk in the nether-regions. Lame-O
